Our member clubs welcome new players and you should approach them directly. They are located predominantly in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, but we also have clubs located in the inner north (Fitzroy, Northcote) - inner east (Richmond) and outer east (Knox, Mulgrave). If you are new to Melbourne and have no connections to club cricket, then the best starting point is to consider your nearest club geographically and make inquires about their program.  We provide Turf (Saturday and Sunday), synthetic, Limited Over and Veteran competitions.  All of which are graded and cater for the most skilled and competitive players, to the more relaxed and social grades. 

The majority of our member clubs run Junior programs in our competition.  For kids starting out, the Woolworth Blaster competition is a great way to get introduced to our game.  Please drop us a line via email if you would like more information.

Yes. The ECA along with our good friends as the Box Hill Reporter and District Cricket Association coordinate the Eastern Girls and Women’s Cricket Competition.  More information is available here at their website. We do have some junior girls who prefer to play in the predominantly boys junior competition of the ECA.  This is something you should discuss with your affiliated club.

Your local club will welcome you with open arms. If you are keen to work with the Junior programs, you will need a Working with Children Check.  Cricket clubs provide a great environment for community and a sense of belonging.   Don’t be shy - approach your local club and ask them for a job to do.
