Three Milestones at Clifton Hill in One Weekend
Thank you to Clifton Hill's Ben Caplikas for sending through the following write up celebrating three club legends, and providing this photo: Ian Roadnight (L) and Andrew Lanning (R) before their milestone games.
Clifton Hill was privileged to celebrate the 300th game of Stephen Cotter, 400th game of Ian Roadnight and 500th game of Andrew Lanning all in the same weekend. All three players are life members and have been actively involved in the club on the committee, coaching juniors and playing for in excess of 20 years. It was fitting that all three players achieved their milestones at the same time and we were able to celebrate them together.
Andrew Lanning, who is the first player to reach 500 games for Clifton Hill, is the current games record holder of the club whilst Ian Roadnight sits second on this list (and is obviously second to 400 games behind Andrew). Stephen is the fourth CHCC player to reach the 300 game milestone.
The CHCC committee, players and members would like to congratulate all three players on such a monumental achievement.
Bearing in mind that PlayHQ does not have up to date statistics due to a range of factors, each players approximate stats are listed below:
- Stephen Cotter - 300 matches, 9000 runs and 360 wickets
- Ian Roadnight - 400 matches, 9386 runs, 347 wickets
- Andrew Lanning - 500 matches, over 6500 runs and over 550 wickets
