Mont Albert too strong for Old Carey
Mont Albert have consolidated their place at the top of the ladder with a win against the defending champs Old Carey. A solid top order effort by the home side lead by Charlie Waite (52) and Fateh Singh (39) saw them post a healthy and very defendable 190. Daniel Clarke (3/44) took the bowling honours. In reply, the defending champs got off to a positive start, but really struggled to get ahead of the chase at any stage. They showed their typical grit by batting out the overs but with just one win for the season, they will need to not put a foot wrong after the break if they want to claim a finals spot.

Lucas Skelton great form continues as Glen Iris move to second
Glen Iris goes to the break filled with confidence having accounted for Heathmont at home. The win elevates Glen Iris to second on the ladder and is reward for a consistent first half of the season. Despite an outstanding 96 by opener, Tom Thirlwell, Heathmont posted an under-par 181 at the Eric Raven Reserve - the other batters had no answers to an excellent bowling effort by the home side - lead by Lucas Skelton (5/33) who is in great form. With the visitors missing the injured Dylan Howard - Lachy Holmes (78*), David Carman (48) and Nathan Boucher (48*) made short work of the chase.
