A submission was received from Glen Iris CC on 17th June 2025 seeking a review and reassessment of the points allocation of player Alec Smith in view of his previous five seasons playing history which only amounted to two seasons. Glen Iris are looking to entice the player back to playing cricket.
The ECA Points Review Committee (EPRC) examined the information provided in respect of the reassessment request particularly the playing history of Alec Smith over the previous 5 seasons which can be summarised as follows:
Season 2020/2021 Did not play.
Season 2021/2022 Tas Premier 1sts, 13 matches making a total of 56 runs at an average of 8.He bowled 42.1 overs taking 2 wickets for 209 at an average of 104.5.
Season 2022/2023 Vic Premier 3rds, 6 matches making a total of 85 runs at an average of 17. He bowled 53 overs taking 3 wickets for 181 at an average of 60.33.
Season 2023/2024 Did not play.
Season 2024/2025 Did not play
Taking account of the information provided, including the playing history of Alec Smith over the previous 5 seasons, the EPRC determined that the points allocation for Alec Smith would be set at 2 points.
