Player Registrations
It is very important that clubs have all players registered and approved prior to team selection night. If a player is not registered, they can’t be selected to play.
Player Points
Player Points Support Article
If an Association uses the Player Points cap, clubs will need to allocate Player Points to their respective players in the club. Team selection cannot be made if these are not allocated.
If an Association has settings on that clubs can allocate points, we ask clubs to do this by Thursday Oct 5th, 5pm.
If Associations are the only ones set up to allocate points, then Associations must get the player points from each club and upload these by Thursday Oct 5th 5pm so clubs can do team selections.
To do this, use the above support link. If your Association uses Player Points Cap and players aren’t given points, they cannot be selected into a team sheet.
Approving Players – Clubs It is urgent that all clubs do these daily
As majority of Cricketers in Victoria are registering onto PlayHQ for the very first time with their club, this means that players will be considered a “new player”.
Moving closer to the start of the season, a reminder for all clubs to approve any player registrations that sit as Pending to Active ASAP. This is important as many players require a permit to play in another competition or association and their original status must be Active.
Transfers and Permits It is urgent that all clubs and associations are daily approving these to not hold up the process for players to play cricket from this weekend.
As the season gets closer it is important for clubs and associations to ensure that they are approving transfers and permits in a timely manner. Permits can only be requested once a player is active in a club (not pending). Please ensure that all pending transfers & permits are actioned so all relevant parties aren’t waiting. Associations please consider the settings that were sent to you in an email on the weekend on which settings to be set as auto approval, this will decrease workload for you.
A reminder if you want a player to register with you at your club and pay fees then they must do a player led permit not a club-based permit.
e-Scoring Access
Clubs are encouraged to create a generic e-scoring email for their club or one for juniors and one for seniors. Use this email to be registered as an e-scorer administrator.
These can be then given to all scorers to use and then they create a pin number for the game.
My-Teams Access
This is different from e-Scoring Access. This access comes from a person registering as a Team Manager or Coach in the registration process. Once this is complete, they will have that toggled to on. In the club portal, go to Teams --> View --> Scroll down to Team Manager and select Allocate.

These will be disbursed to clubs by their primary Association. Whichever Association your highest graded club team plays in, that is the Association you will receive this from.
Players, Team Managers, Coaches, Volunteers and Officials. – Registration.
Cricket Victoria in partnership with the VMCU, VCCL and the VSDCA are asking all clubs to ensure that the following are registered on PlayHQ. The Working with Children Details are collected on all registration forms except the Player registration.
- Players – so they can be named on a team sheet to play.
- Team Manager – so team selections can be made and scores entered after a game if needed.
- Coach – to be named on a team sheet and scores entered after a game if needed.
- Volunteers / Officials – so we can capture the working with children details and have the ability to provide offers to games or education courses.
