Passing of Robert (Keith) Wilkins

Sadly the Associations notes the passing of Life Member Robert (Keith) Wilkins.
Keith as he was widely known, joined the former ESCA as Umpires Officer in 1984 before shifting to the Secretary role in 1987 where he severed for 10 seasons. Then for one season filled the Vice President & Grade Secretary roles and became the final President of the ESCA before the merger forming ECA.
He was the inaugural Operations Manager for ECA and after the first season transferred to the Turf Manager role then had another stint as a grade secretary.
During his time at ESCA/ECA he was also a well respected Umpire.
He was made a Life Member of the ESCA in 1996 and also was a Life Member of the ECUA.
His talents were well regarded and included stints with the VMCU as their Administrator and RDCA as Senior Secretary.
After finishing his time in Cricket, he and his wife Chris moved to Warragul.
A true servant of the game and his presence will be sorely missed.
The association’s condolences go to Chris, Simon and Tash and the rest of the Wilkins family.
