ECA and Kookaburra keep on keeping on
Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) and Kookaburra Sport are proud to announce the extension of our long term premier partnership. Kookaburra will continue as the exclusive official cricket ball and equipment supplier from 2024 to 2027.
Kookaburra is a trusted name not just within Australia, but throughout the entire cricket world. They pride themselves on supplying cricket gear and equipment that is second to none. Whether you are a beginner starting out or a professional looking for that competitive edge, everything Kookaburra provides is designed to improve performance and to help you dominate on the field.
ECA is Melbourne’s leading community cricket association and one of the largest in Australia in terms of clubs and player participation. It has more than 60 affiliate clubs participating in junior, senior and veteran cricket competitions on both turf and synthetic surfaces. Thousands of players, junior and senior, male and female, compete in both ECA and Eastern Girls & Women’s Competition (EGWC), officiated by our umpires, on grounds provided by 14+ Local Government Authorities.
ECA President Neil Dalrymple says he is delighted with the extended partnership. ‘To have the on-going commitment of a premier partner like Kookaburra for at least another three years is a great coup for ECA, in particular for our clubs, players and umpires who will have access to the world class Kookaburra brand. Again it speaks volumes about the attraction and value of a professionally run community sporting competition to commercial partners.’
Kookaburra’s Partnerships Manager Hayleigh Brennan says she is excited about the new extended partnership. ‘With Kookaburra’s commitment to build partnerships in community sport, we will be endeavouring to provide the ECA with quality cricket balls and equipment at a competitive price. We are delighted to be in partnership with one of the leading community cricket competitions in Victoria.’
