Arrangements for the Team Photos and Action photos from the VMCU Carnival.
Thank you to all of our ECA families who participated in the Annual VMCU Carnival this year. We had nine teams competing, and we were able to get to mulitple games for each team and grab some great photos. For the families who cannot see an action shot of their child in our galleries, please accept my apology. I cannot stay at one game all day - but I do try to capture a photo of as many different players doing something as I can. We donate our time over the two weeks, so any support you could give by purchasing a photo would be appreciated.

Have all the action photos that we took during the carnival been uploaded to their respective online galleries?
Yes.
Will you offer package deals on the digital photos?
Based on last year's experience, we received all sorts of requests for different quantities. Some players feature in many photos - it just depends on what happened on the day. We are happy to provide quotes for any reasonable requests on a case by case basis for any quantity over 10. Parents should This email address is being protected from spambots. There is one fixed package deal for digitals as part of the team print option - see this link. Please note that the action photos and the print/package photos (ie team shots etc) are hosted on separate online stores. People who opt for the print/digital package option are asked to just 'favourite' the 10 photos in the action photo site - don't check out. I will email them a link to download them when they have bought that package on the print site.
Is there any difference in the quality of photos sold online?
No - they are all high-res. And will print beautifully too. Please note that we offer print options in our online store featuring the action photos. Our preferred printer is an old school photo lab - ink, paper, finish etc is of the highest quality and will exceed the quality of any retail 'print & go' store.
Are the team photos offered as a digital download?

What is the situation with the team photo for the Under 17 Jones Shield Premiership?
We are designing a Premiership Poster to Celebrate this wonderful achievement by the girls. Parents and Friends of the U17s team should wait off until the proof of the poster is ready to order online.
What happens to the individual photos taken of the players taken on the day of the team shoot?
These are added as an option to have the team photo and individual profile shot on the same print. See example featuring Zach here. Or another example featuring Youmaneh. Also for the Under 18 Boys Arnold shield, due to time restrictions because of their warm-up, I did not have the time to grab profile shots of the players before they had to be on the ground to start the match. If a parent wants to substitute in an action-shot instead, provided their is one, that is fine.
What are trading cards?
These were popular with the players last year, but many people I spoke to during the carnival were not aware they were an option. So I dropped some samples off at some matches, so hopefully the parents are aware of them. This year we are offeing more design options. Why should parents have to pay for the team photo?
I am aware that other Associations are offering the team photo as a complimentary item. I cannot speak for the quality of the photos/print or the caveats (eg advertising on the photo). But I can speak for the quality of ours which is first-class. I understand that every cent of your player subscription is accounted for in the running of the program. So that Michael and I can continue to provide what we believe is a worthwhile service for our VMCU Rep community, we do rely on your financial support through photo sales.
Can Clubs use the Action photos on personal or club socials?
Yes, provided they are purchased and not as a screen-shot or similar. You will notice we have double-downed on the watermark this year just to remind people that our work is not 'free'. We take our copyright seriously.
Can Clubs use the photos in a commercial application - such as part of a artwork on a billboard, print publication or real-estate agents board?
Yes, but a separate commercial rate for the photo needs to be negotiated, and you will need clearance from us to do so.
