Donvale and Northcote United to meet in the Under 18 Hamilton Grand Final

Both sides convincing winners in their respective Semi-Finals

In the Under 18 Hamilton Shield, Donvale and Northcote United both made short work of their respective two-day semi finals.
At Alphington Park, Norhtcote United only needed the one evening to secure their Grand Final Spot. Their bowling attack was magnificent, rolling Burwood for just 45. Thomas Sweetman (3/10 from 7), Ted Smith (3/2 from 4) were unrelenting. After losing two early wickets, Thomas Sweetman was at it again, clobbering 29* from 17 balls to end the game in just 8 overs.
At Boronia Road Reserve, the semi between Donvale and Balwyn Blasters followed a similar script. Balwyn Blasters could only muster 77 from their 29 overs - Mitchell Laurie made early inroads with his 3/13 from 7. Donvale knocked 47 off the total by the close of play - and finished off the game in 30 minutes on night two - Shehzad Singh opened his shoulders to finish 25 not out.
It sets up a mouth-watering Grand Final - both these sides play an agressive brand of cricket. Please check PlayHQ for Venue and Times.
