Neil Gumley Brings Up 300 Games for Toorak-Prahran, but Game 301 was a Memorable Game for his Family

Neil Gumley discusses his 300 game career with Toorak-Prahran

Thank you to Robert Ary, secretary of Toorak-Prahran who alreted us to Neil Gumley reaching his 300 game milestone for the club. As the President of Toorak-Prahran, you can't question Neil's committment to the club and we highly recommend listenting to our interview with him to hear all about the wonderful attachment he has to the club.
Neil brought up his 300th game in Vets Division 2 against North Alphington, and opening the batting he made 40* ret. setting them up for a 5 wicket victory.
While he was playing in his milestone match, his son Laughlan was batting for ISEC in the U14 Allen VMCU Rep Carnival Grand Final against the ECA that we covered as a game that came down to the wire. Laughlan played a starring role making 40 of the first 42 runs in the chase before he was finally dismissed.
In Neil's 301st game, the two were able to come together in a game of Sunday Turf 2, where the pair put on an opening stand of 162 runs, with Neil being dismissed for 81, but was also able to witness Laughlan's (Pictured Right) maiden century, hitting 105* from 119 balls. Neil was one proud dad.
On top of this milestone, Neil was inducted into Toorak-Prahran's Hall of Fame at the club's 60th year anniversary held at the Citipower Center.
Congratulations Neil, and congratulations to Toorak-Prahran for their 60th year.
