Congratulations are in order to the Dandenong District Cricket Association (DDCA) for their emphatic win over our Under 14 boys in the VMCU Allen Shield Grand Final. DDCA played a great game. Batting first they recovered from a shaky start with their middle order playing great shots all around the ground to post a very defendable 173 at Zerbes Reserve. Muhammad Abubakar Imran was the star with the ball picking up 5/32. With the Zerbes track staring to play low, some of our players learned the hard way about the importance of playing forward on turf in the afternoon - and to the full credit of the DDCA bowlers, they attacked the stumps and were rewarded. Sam Judd batted very well for his 26 (66) as did Josh Moore who hit a brksk 27* (29) but the DDCA team were just too good. We were all out for 119 in the 35th over. We are very proud of our team - they have played great cricket throughout the carnival, been exemplary on the field - and the coaching and support from the parents has been first-class. Well done to everyone.

We could not get to both boys Grand Finals yesterday, regardless we extend our congratulations SECA - South East Cricket Association for their emphatic win over our Under 12 boys in the VMCU MItchell Shield Grand Final.
SECA remained undfeated throughout the carnival and have clearly deserved ther VMCU Flag. Well done to their top scorers - their skipper Charlie (51), Benjamin (37) and Leo (28*) on compiling a great first innings score of 7/205.
The wickets were shared by their bowlers, but a big shout out to ECAs vice captain Om Joshi who top scored with 30 and took two wickets
Like all our rep teams we are very proud of the achievements of our team. In this competitive grade, they have fought out all their matches, and won a finals finals spot after a 1-2 record after three rounds.
Well done to the coaches and parents for your support of the boys.
