Unprecedented interest in the ECA T20 Comp sees more teams competing this season
We had an unprecedented interest in the 2024-25 Kookaburra T20 series with 38 clubs nominating to play, which is fantastic. Due to this level of interest we have been required to adjust the 8 pool sizes up from 4 to 5 clubs in each pool, bar two.
In light of the above we were required to increase the pool rounds from 3 to 4 to enable some clubs to still play each other once in the pool where possible. The extra pool round date is Tuesday 21 January. Of course the increase has also created a bye in each pool round. So therefore 80% of clubs will still play 3 pool games as previously announced.

We have done our best to accommodate most of the club requests and keep the pools in reasonably close geographical areas with the travel challenges presented on a Tuesday afternoon in metropolitan Melbourne.
