School Sport Championships to be played late November in Adelaide
The ECA extends its congratulations to Mont Albert junior, Om Joshi, who has been selected in the boys 12 and under team to represent Victoria in the School Sport Australia Championships. The tournament will be held in Adelaide between 30 November and 6 December. Om is alredy highly regarded in ECA junior circles having represented the ECA in last year's VMCU tournament. The all rounder bowls left arm wrist spin and bats right handed. We caught up with Om last weekend after the Ashburton Willows v Mont Albert U12A game at Ferndale Park. Om said that he is looking forward to the tournament. Proud father Amit told us how Om was one of almost 500 kids who tried out for the team - and how there were four trial sessions held by School Sports Victoria that Om had to progress through. Om has the distinction of being the only ECA player selected in the team. We wish him all the best for the tournament.
