Opportunity to join the ECAs Communications Team
The ECA executive is offering an exciting opportunity for a current ECA player or club-volunteer who is studying a Media & Communications (or similar) Degree or Diploma to join our Communications Team over the 2026-27 cricket season.
Our Communications Team of Michael & Chris Mirabella from Communus Pty. Ltd. are experienced media professionals and have been the driving force behind the ECA’s digital transformation over the past seven years.This is an exceptional opportunity for someone to gain invaluable experience to add to their CV and Portfolio while making a meaningful contribution to the ECA community.
Reporting to Peter Simpson – General Manager ECA and under the guidance of Chris and Michael, you will learn the following skills:
- How to prepare and publish structured content on the ECA website using its open source content management system (CMS) including:
- Advanced forms management
- Advanced user management, security and permissions
- Advanced HTML and CSS
- Meta Data management
- How to optimise content for search engines (SEO) and AI.
- How to collate and publish Social Media content using the META Business Suite - Facebook, Instagram.
- Photo, video & audio acquisition and post-production
- How to support the ECA executive team using Google Workspace tools
- DataBase management for email campaigns
- Monitoring and analysis of website and social media performance (analytics)
This role is a volunteer position. There is an expectation the candidate will be available for the duration of the season.
