Rebecca Brown wins the A Grade Player of the Year Medal
Rebecca Brown from Nunawading Cricket Club has won the Senior A Grade Player of the Year Award for the 2025-26 EGWC Season. The Award was announced at the ECA/EGWC Presentation event at Kooyong Lawn Tennis club last Friday. Rebecca, an attacking opening batter, had an exceptional year scoring 700 runs at an average of 175. She earned 15 votes from the umpires during the home and away rounds. Tracey Chong, the Hawthorn Boorondara skipper and all-rounder was runner up with 10 votes. Congratulations to Rebecca for a fine season.
In a recorded video message Rebecca thanked her club and her teammates for a wonderful year, and congratulated Hawthorn Boroondara for their Grand Final win. She extented her thanks to the EGWC Committee, and Dani Hedley for their efforts throughout the season.
